Luke is the passionate store manager at Daniel’s Donuts Lansell Square, known for his friendly vibe, dedication to customer service, and love for creating joyful experiences. After years of traveling across Victoria for a flooring company, Luke found his sweet spot close to home—and he hasn’t looked back since

Can you tell us a little more about your journey and how you became store manager?

“I joined Daniel’s Donuts in August as a part-time supervisor, looking for a role that felt more rewarding and less stressful. I quickly fell in love with the team, the customers, and the vibe. In December, I stepped up as store manager, and it’s been an amazing ride ever since.”

What do you love to do when you're not at work?

“Outside of work, I’m a LEGO collector—I've built up over 30 sets in just a year! I mostly collect cars, but I also love Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Simpsons, and famous landmarks. I’m also big on binge-watching TV series—always from the beginning!”

“We’re all about bringing joy to life’s special moments like birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers and even weddings. Our donuts are colourful, delicious, and perfect for celebrating. Right now, our Biscoff donuts and pistachio range are flying off the shelves—they’re a must-try!”

What’s your go-to order and what are customers loving right now?

“My personal favorite is the Matcha Green Tea Latte with vanilla, paired with a Biscoff donut—it’s the perfect combo. Customers are loving the Biscoff and pistachio donuts right now, and they’re going fast!”

What do you love most about your job?

“Every day is different, and I love chatting with customers and making the store look amazing. I’ve been with Daniel’s for 10 months now, and it’s the people—both the team and the customers that make it special.”

Funniest customer moment?

“A lady once came in asking to buy a pizza—she thought she was at Smokin’ Joe’s!”

Why is Lansell Square a great place to work?

“It’s got a real community feel, with a wide variety of stores and a location that’s just outside central Bendigo. It feels like home. Plus, there are great food options for lunch breaks and I’ve loved getting to know the other shop staff.”

What is your favourite time of year?

“Definitely Christmas! I love decorating the store and our special edition Christmas donuts are always a hit.”
