COVID-19 Updates

From 11.59pm on Sunday 19th September 2021

On Sunday, 19th September 2021, the Premier announced the reintroduction of the ‘Stay at Home’ orders for Greater Geelong. These restrictions will come into effect a 11:59pm tonight and stay in place for seven days.

 

In line with these government restrictions, we are required to make the following operational adjustments for our Centre:

 

The following stores that provide essential goods and services to our community will remain open and trading:

 

- Supermarkets, grocery stores, bakery, butcher, fruit and veg, fishmonger; and indoor or outdoor markets but only for groceries or fresh food

- Bottle shops

- financial institutions

- post offices

- newsagencies

- pharmacies

- petrol stations (including one that sells groceries)

- vehicle and mechanical repair service centres

- pet store or vet clinics

- urgent services for the health and safety of a person, animal or premises

 

The following stores can provide takeaway only:

 

- cafes and restaurants

- food court eateries

 

All other stores have been classified as providing non-essential goods and services and must close to the public. Please call individual stores directly and they will advise if they are offering this service during lockdown.

 

Additionally, face masks must be worn at all times whilst visiting us.

 

We understand that these lockdowns are challenging. We are here to support our community and play our part in stopping the spread of COVID-19.

Thursday 9th September 2021

 

Today the Premier announced lockdown restrictions will be lifted for Regional Victoria. These changes will apply from 11:59pm tomorrow night.

 

Changes will come into effect:

 

- no stay at home requirements

- removal of 5km travel limit

 

Interstate travel:

 

- allowed across regional Victoria

- movement between metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria restricted to specified purposes:

- necessary goods and services (provided facility is closest facility to place of residence)

- care or compassionate reasons (including bubble buddy/ intimate partner/)

- authorised work/education • other specified reasons e.g. moving home

 

Private gatherings are not permitted however public gatherings are permitted for up to 10 people.

 

For us and our centre:

 

- All retail can open and trade with a density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies. Check-in are required

- All beauty and personal care will have a capacity limit of 10 and masks must remain on for duration of service

- Food and drink facility can open for seated service only with a maximum of 20 outdoors and 10 indoors subject to density limits

- Food courts will offer continue to offer takeaway and delivery only

- Gyms remain closed.

- Play centres are required to remain closed

 

Additionally, mask wearing remains mandatory in centre at all times. This applies to yourself, your team and your customers.

 

 

 

Wednesday 1st September

 

On Wednesday 1st September the Premier announced that the current lockdown for Regional Victoria will remain in place until further notice. It is expected that this will be reviewed again mid-next week. 

 

In line with these extended government restrictions, all current operational restrictions remain in place for our Centre.

 

When visiting us for your essential goods and services, please remember:

 

- Check In on entry

- Wear a mask in Centre at all times

- Utilise the sanitiser on entry

- Cough or sneeze into your elbow

Importantly, please stay home if you are feeling unwell and get tested for COVID-19 if symptoms occur.

 

We understand that this extended lockdown is difficult for our community and we are here to support you.

Regional Victoria Lockdown Announced - 21st August 2021

This morning the Premier announced the reintroduction of the ‘stay at home’ orders for Regional Victoria. These restrictions will come into effect a 1pm this afternoon and stay in place until 11:59pm Thursday 2nd September 2021.  

 

In line with these government restrictions, we are required to make the following operational adjustments for our Centre:

 

The following stores that provide essential goods and services to our community will remain open and trading:

 

- Supermarkets, grocery stores, bakery, butcher, fruit and veg, fishmonger; and indoor or outdoor markets but only for groceries or fresh food

- Bottle shops

- financial institutions

- post offices

- newsagencies

- pharmacies

- petrol stations (including one that sells groceries)

- vehicle and mechanical repair service centres

- pet store or vet clinics

- urgent services for the health and safety of a person, animal or premises

 

Childcare facilities will close but remain open to vulnerable children, and the children of authorised workers if they cannot be supervised at home.

 

The following stores can provide takeaway only:

 

- cafes and restaurants

- food court eateries

 

All other stores have been classified as providing non-essential goods and services and must close to the public. Please call individual stores directly and they will advise if they are offering this service during lockdown.

Latest COVID-19 Confirmed Exposure Sites

 

 

We have been made aware that a person who worked Lansell Square on Sunday 3rd October 2021 between 7.45am and 4.30pm has returned a postive COVID-19 test result.

Any visitor to Lansell Square during the above-mentioned day and times are a Tier 2 contact and must immediately get tested and self-isolate until they receive a negative test result. You should continue to monitor for symptoms and if any symptoms occur you should get tested again.
 
We have completed a full centre clean in line with SafeWork Australia guidelines. Any team members who were working in the general area of the centre at the above-mentioned date and times are following the above health advice.
 
This is an important reminder to ensure that when you visit us for your essential goods and services you are:
 

- checking in on entry via the Service Victoria COVID-Safe Check In app and at individual stores

- maintaining 1.5 metres between yourself and others

- wear a mask at all times

- observing store capacity limits 

- utilising the hand sanitiser on entries

 
Additionally, if you are feeling unwell, please stay home and ensure you get tested if you have symptoms.
